abstract={In a software ecosystem with open variability customers create their own products based on a reuse infrastructure provided by a development company. While an open approach has many benefits, it brings along a number of specific issues, especially related to evolution. In this problem statement we discuss some of the issues that arise in merging local variabilities with evolved versions of the reuse infrastructure of the development organization. In our discussion we focus on information systems, inspired by the situation of a specific company.}
